<li class="li1">Cheese - grated (4 cheese, cheddar, pepper jack etc)</li>
<li class="li1">Full cream - 1/3 cup</li>
<li class="li1">Cinnamon - 2 sticks</li>
<li class="li1">Cloves - 4-5</li>
<li class="li1">Ginger - about an inch - grated</li>
<li class="li1">Butter</li>
<li class="li1">Salt</li>

<b>Method</b>:</div>
<ol class="ol1">
<li class="li1">Boil water, add a spoon of olive oil, a spoon of salt and add macaroni to it till it is cooked</li>
<li class="li1">Steam peas, cauliflower florets, carrots in a pressure cooker so that they are soft and well cooked</li>
<li class="li1">In a grinder, grind cloves, cinnamon, ginger with a little bit of water. Take the mixture and add a little bit of warm water to it and keep soaked</li>
<li class="li1">In a pan, sauté the onions and garlic till reddish</li>
<li class="li1">Add the steamed vegetables to it, and keep cooking till the whole mixture comes together</li>
<li class="li1">Add cream and salt per taste, and keep cooking till the mixture starts to boil and explode</li>
<li class="li1">Through a sieve, press the ground mixture into the pan so that the flavors mix with the vegetable mixture. Stir and cover</li>
<li class="li1">Preheat an oven to 350F. Butter the pan to bake in</li>
<li class="li1">Now create layers with macaroni, vegetables, cheese on top of each other. You can pinch in salt in between layers if necessary</li>
<li class="li1">Create 3 such layers at least</li>
<li class="li1">Bake for 20 mins.</li>
<li class="li1">Mix in butter and chopped garlic, and spread on bread slices with cheese and bake alongside with<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></li>
<li class="li1">Top with crushed chili peppers and enjoy your meal</li>

A thaat is a classification of Raags. Its a superset over the set of raags, kind of like a family of raags.
Every raag belongs to a particular thaat, for example, Raag Yaman belongs to Kalyan thaat, Raag Puriya Dhanashree belongs to the Poorvi thaat. What this means is that the raag within a thaat uses a part of all the notes that are defined in the thaat. For example, the Kalyan thaat uses the notes Sa Re Ga Ma* Pa Dha Ni. The Raag Yaman uses the same notes, however it has some added rules on top of it. Sarang is another raag belonging to the Kalyan thaat. It however only uses the notes Sa Re Ma* Pa Dha Ni. Notice that it does not use the Ga.
Most of the thaats are raags themselves. For example Khamaaj is a thaat and a raag.
A thaat defines the scale or the notes allowed within that family. A raag adds its own rules and boundaries utilizing the notes within that scale.
There are some raags which belong to more than one thaat. For example the Yamani-bilawal raag belongs to both Kalyan and Bilawal thaat.
Below is the scale of all the 10 thaats in Hindustani Classical Music. Click on them and get a feel of how different they sound just moving up and down the octave.
Thaat helps us to place a raag and to figure out its structure in terms of the notes it is bound with. When you hover over a particular thaat, and listen carefully to the ascent and descent, you will surely feel the shift in the mood and the note structure. All the ascent and descent is just Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Dha Ni Sa Sa Ni Dha Pa Ma Ga Re Sa, but the different set of combinations that arise out of the komal and shuddha notes makes it a vast musical treasure to explore.

Sometimes I wonder what is it about classical music that
peaks my interest. I usually tend to get bored of things and quickly pass them
by once I get a little hang of it. I might have blown off so many things only
because they couldn’t generate enough mystery to keep me going at them.
Classical music on the other hand is like this unsurmountable mountain. No
matter how much you keep going at it, it just keeps surprising you and manages
to keep you at bay. And it might just be this challenge which completely stumps
me and makes me want it that much more.<o:p></o:p></div>

My experience or history in classical doesn’t go back long.
I think the first time I really looked up what a raag was when I watched the
movie Khuda ke liye. It had a beautiful song, called Tilak Kamod (<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a-4mY5dcMe8">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a-4mY5dcMe8</a>). </div>

Funny as it sounded, it was my first exposure coming from within, to the
wonderful world of raags. The song, a very famous bandish in the said raag,
went something like this – Neer bharan kaise jaoo. And it completely managed to
bowl me over. I have gotten feedback on the same song from multiple people, and
I have always had varying reviews on it. But for me, somehow that song reminds me
of my introduction to classical music.<o:p></o:p></div>

Tilak Kamod, is a beautiful raag belonging to the Khamaaj
thaat. To begin with, I must make it clear, that I have no knowledge of this
raag at all. Whatever I have noted is mainly from the feel I have generated by
looking it up thousands of times in the last 5-6 years, and I may be completely
off while defining it or jotting it down. But for some reason, it is my most
beloved raag, and it has managed to make a special place in my heart. It’s a
very melodious raag, and usually works with romance as its main theme. I feel
that happens because of its wonderful weight on the pillar notes, Pa and Sa. Pa
and Sa are the only two notes which don’t have a komal or a teevra side to
them, making them the ideal resting place during the raag’s presentation. It’s
a shaadav-sampoorna raag, meaning it uses 6 notes during ascent, and all 7
notes during descent. And it also employs its own magic, by the use of komal ni
during descent. And you will figure it out, when and if I can manage to point
it out so, as to why that one note makes so much difference when used. For example: In the second part of the song Neer Bharan Kaise Jaoo (mentioned above), the line goes, "Chanchal chapal hat nat khat, manat na kahu ki baat, binati karat main to, gayi re haar sakhi." In this line, the part where the song goes "binati <u>karata</u> main to", there is a subtle use of the komal Ni.<br />

will have observed, the descent isn’t sequential. It meanders its way
alternating between high and low notes, thereby creating a wonderful step-up step-down
melody when played. It’s a night time raag, meaning it will often be sung, or
rather, it’s true characteristic will only appeal when sung or heard at night.
But then, if you ask me, this raag manages to conquer time itself, so the time
of the day never actually mattered to me.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span style="background: white; color: #252525;">Because
of its use of 8 out of the 12 notes, there is a lot to be explored within this
raag. Also, its defining characters and its vaadi samvadi notes stress the fact
that this exploration, though vast, is bound by a certain set of rules, and it
is because of these rules, that the raag sounds what it sounds like.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span><o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span style="background: white; color: #252525;">When you
give it a listen, you will immediately connect with it. The reason is, this
raag is used widely in many compositions even in light/ semi-classical compositions.
Because of its nature and the emotion it portrays, using this raag as the base
for composing everyday songs becomes ideal. Of course, singing and emoting the
real feeling requires a lot of skill and talent from the performer.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

For a person who tends to listen to a huge variety of songs, this is one Raag which each of us has come across multiple times. It is one of the most fundamental and basic raags in Hindustani Classical music.</div>

<span class="s1">For one, it is a raag which uses all seven notes, namely Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Dha Ni, and because it uses all 7 notes, the combinations are a lot more than what a 5 note raag might have. Hence, the number of songs which are based on Yaman or are pure Yaman are uncountable. </span></div>
<div class="p1">
<span class="s1">Notice that we use the teevra Ma, i.e. the sharp Ma in this raag. The shuddha ma is avoided, though sometimes in compositions, you might hear a note or two of the shuddha ma, but that is added only for adorning the composition. To stick to the pure Yaman, we completely avoid using the shuddha ma.</span></div>

<span class="s1">Yaman is also called emaan, aimaan. To begin classifying it, lets get to the definition of the Raag Yaman.</span></div>

<span class="s1">Most raags will have a recognizable pattern to them, which will almost immediately tell you that oh, this might be so and so raag, just on the basis of the 4-5 note phrase. This is often called the pakad, i.e. the primary phrase or the defining phrase of that raag.</span></div>

<span class="s1">The reason for this is that Yaman rules will push you to not move from Ni -> Sa directly, and from Sa -> Re too. And thats the same case with Pa, wherein Ma -> Pa, and Pa -> Dha isn’t allowed. These three rules kind of define the whole raag structure. Its one of those raags with very less number of rules. The Vadi Samvadi swars are usually the notes which are most emphasized, but yaman is so elaborate, that it doesn’t need to stick to these to emphasize itself. All the notes have almost equal weight, and can be used as per the mood and as per the composition, which gives even more space to play with in the land of the 12 notes (essentially in one octave).</span></div>

<span class="s1">Yaman really brings out a variety of emotions, and most of it depends on the usage of notes in the compositions. It can sound devotional, romantic, nostalgic or just plain happy. It is this wonderful capacity that Yaman has, that has excited composers and has given them the hope that they can create something new yet another time, from one of the oldest raags, i.e. Yaman. </span></div>

<span class="s1">A lot of famous songs are based on this raag, and I will try to explicitly state the Pakad in each of these which make them easy to identify them with Yaman. Who can forget: </span></div>

<span class="s1"><b>Mohammed Rafi’s – Zindagi bhar nahi bhoolegi wo barsaat</b><i><span style="color: #b45f06;">(Ni Re Re Re Ga)</span> </i><b>ki raat.</b> This is one good example of how a composer uses the shuddha ma and komal ni to great effect. At the end of the verse, you will see a beautiful usage of these two notes. In the line “Kabhi dekhi na suni aisi, kabhi dekhi na <b>suni</b><i>(use of the komal Ni)</i> aisi, tilismaat <b>ki</b><i>(use of shuddha ma)</i> raat”. </span><br />

<span class="s1">And so many more! As you will see, the phrase Ni Re Ga is so widely used, yet it is so difficult to distinguish since it is composed and fit so well in the song. And it occurs time and again, yet it always sounds different and just as beautiful each time.</span></div>

<span class="s1">For some reason, the Ni Re Ga for me tends to emote a wonderful emotion to the song. While listening to a song, if I find it, I feel amazed with the skill with which this phrase was hidden in the composition. I just feel like my mind blows away every time I listen to it. And I find it tough to figure out notes by just listening to a sung version of the song, so when I do come to realize that woah, that seemed like a Ni Re Ga there, it is a feeling comparable to finding gold. </span></div>

<span class="s1">There are so many transitions which sound so amazing when taken in Yaman. And although the compositions are much more than these small transitions, it is these which make the song all that complex and wonderful at the same time. The <span style="color: #b45f06;"><b>Ni Pa</b> Ma Ga Re Sa</span>, <span style="color: #b45f06;">Ni Re Ga <b>Re Pa</b> Ma Ga Re Sa</span>, <span style="color: #b45f06;">Ga Ma <b>Ga Pa</b></span>, <span style="color: #b45f06;">Ma Ga Re <b>Ma Re</b> Ga Re Sa</span>, <span style="color: #b45f06;">Ni </span><b><span style="color: #b45f06;">Dha Sa</span>, <span style="color: #b45f06;">(Sa)Dha Ni </span></b><span style="color: #b45f06;">Re</span>,<b> </b>are a few which strictly adhere to the rules, and yet give a completely new side to Yaman whenever used. Then there are a few which don’t strictly adhere, but are often used since the application kind of makes it seem that the rule is followed. For example, often you will hear a well trained singer sing <b><span style="color: #b45f06;">Re Ga Ma Pa</span></b>, but its done so quickly, and by not stopping on Pa, and proceeding onto another note, it kind of shifts the weight from Pa to the next note, thereby almost following the rule of not moving from Ma-Pa. Then often time you might hear a singer sing <b><span style="color: #b45f06;">Ni Sa Ni Sa</span></b>, which technically shouldn’t be allowed, but again, the right application makes it sound interesting. And by not forcing the use or by utilizing it in just a one off spot, it makes it an interesting and fun to experience composition.</span></div>
<div class="p1">
<span class="s1">A very fun part which strikes me is the meend. Meend is the transition from one note to another, and is usually taken while playing/singing a note. For example, if I am singing a Ni, I can sing the exact frequency of Ni, and it will sound as Ni. But, I can also start singing Sa, and then sing Ni. And that transition, wherein I just somehow start at Sa's frequency but immediately move to Ni and sing Ni is called meend, and is denoted as so (Sa)Ni. What that does is, it gives an effect as if we are sliding down from Sa to Ni. And that slide creates wonderful musical combinations. Meends can be taken between any two notes, and if the distance between the notes is more than 1, then you will notice that the slide goes and slightly touches all the notes in between and then plays the real note. A very simple example is as stated below, and you will notice how much of a wonderful difference it makes, while playing plain Dha Ni Re Ga Re Sa, </span><br />

Music is an experience, and I wish that I had the vocal capacity to sing as well as the stalwarts, but I suffice that need by listening to any and every thing I can lay my hand on. My wish is that I can sit in an acoustically designed room, and have a singer sing wonderful aalaps/taans and that I just listen to it all day. Till then, I have my headphones and the internet at my disposal. </span></div>

<span class="s1">Music has always been something of a mystery to me. Not because it is rare, but more so due to its abundance. It is found in everything, from the living to the non living to the abstract. It is a powerful tool, and has an ability to bring out emotions which only few other art forms manage to bring out in me. And it is no surprise, that people all over the world have tried to understand and unravel the depths of this great art form.</span></div>
<div class="p1">
<span class="s1">My knowledge is very restricted, and very biased, coming from an Indian family where music is being played at every moment. Music was an answer to everything, and also the perfect excuse to just about anything. I could easily skip studies, work on the pretext of listening to music. And this came from the understanding that listening to music or being somehow connected to music was better than anything else I might have been doing. </span></div>
<div class="p1">
<span class="s1">Overtime, as the music taste evolved within me, I tried to listen to more and more different types of music. And somehow for some reason, I just kept falling back to Indian classical music. And I may have tried to be the rebellious child by trying to listen to some different music genres just so that I don’t become one of the typical Indian people who will always say that everything Indian is better than anything else in the world, but I seem to have no other option but to come back to this. I have come to realize that with whatever little I understand about music, no one else has made such a deep and vast study of music in general and its implications with respect to mood, emotions and human behavior as the stalwarts of Indian classical music have. </span></div>

<span class="s1">I think that is all I will say about the “why”. </span></div>
<div class="p1">
<span class="s1">Let me now directly jump into the “what”. So what is Indian classical music? I would say, it is a collective study of probably 2000 years or so of music and the science behind it. Why Indian? Well, that is because it originated within the Indian subcontinent. And this has nothing to do with present day India. Indian classical music has contributions from the whole of the continent, and has a lot of input right from Urdu, Pashto, Arabic, Hindi, Sanskrit languages. Which region wise would cover regions from Persia, Afghanistan, Pakistan, India and Sri Lanka.</span></div>
<div class="p1">
<span class="s1"><br /></span>
<span class="s1">Over the years, two major forms of music evolved, with each form giving precedence to some details in music over the other, and thereby basing the whole study on those features. I can think of Carnatic and Hindustani Classical music as the two main branches. And since my exposure to Carnatic music is almost equal to zero, I will elaborate only on Hindustani classical music.</span></div>

<span class="s1">Hindustani classical music is based off of 3 major pillars, which make up the music within it. </span></div>
<div class="p1">
<span class="s1">Sur (swar) - Is the musical note. (can be further broken down into Shruti).</span></div>
<div class="p1">
<span class="s1">Taal – This is the beat, or the clock which binds the music piece.</span></div>
<div class="p1">
<span class="s1">Laya – This is the tempo.</span></div>

<span class="s1">Together, with these tools, you can formulate any musical piece. After all, a musical piece is nothing but musical notes bound together in a cyclic beat structure, bound by a natural tempo to make it sound melodious. </span></div>

<span class="s1">It could be something as simple as humming a tune, the heart beating, snoring, or the chirping of birds.</span></div>

<span class="s1">Now without further ado, I will step into the Raag or the Raaga. I don’t want to be a know-it-all, and hence what I intend to do is to post Raag examples over a period of time. And that should make things easier for me to put, and for the reader to understand as well. </span></div>
<div class="p1">
<span class="s1">As a simple definition, a raag is a combination of swaras. And that implies that the raag can then move only within the boundaries of the notes it is made up of. But that’s not all there is to it. There are rules on how to move from one musical note to another. And rules on how to apply a musical note while playing it or singing it. What that means is that a Rishabh (Re) (D in western) played in Raag Yaman will not be the same as that in Raag Bhoop. And its small intricate details such as these, that make the whole system complex and spell bounding at the same time. </span></div>

<span class="s1">As a rule, every Raaga always has Sa (this is because it is the starting point of the Raag, and hence it can’t be avoided. It is the note with whose help the other notes are defined). </span></div>

<span class="s1">To make this clear, it essentially sets the benchmark for the frequency of the notes. Once the Sa is defined, you can say that Re will be 1 note above it, Ga will be 2 notes above it and so on. Without the Sa, you have nothing to base your note off.</span></div>

<span class="s1">Another rule is that you have to have one of Ma or Pa within your raag. Yet another one is that you can’t skip more than 4 notes when defining a raag. And the last rule (well there maybe more) is that the raag should have atleast 5 notes. You can’t have a raag with just Sa Re Ga Ma.</span></div>

I am sure most of us have felt that amazing feeling when you know you are the best at a given thing. Just seeing the opportunity gives you a rush of adrenaline, cause you know you will be given a chance to show, once again, that you are the best. But how good a feeling is that? Is it that good that you are so full of yourself? Is this confidence, or is this over-confidence? Why is it bad to be over-confident? Don’t we feel amazing when we are confident? Don’t we carry that air around us, that look which tells the person in front of us this is someone whom you can rely on? If with just looks and persona, we can bring so much energy into our everyday interactions, why not try to be that confident every moment of our life?</div>

<span class="s1">We often hear that most battles are won even before they begin. How is that possible? We know its common knowledge that if a dog is chasing you, its best to stand up and face it, rather than turn on your heels and run. Why is that? When you turn around and run, you are losing the first half of the battle with the dog. It now sees you as a weaker opposition and hence it will chase you away. If you on the other hand you turn around to face it, it knows that it is facing a formidable opposition and there is a chance that it might be in just as much danger as much as it poses to be a threat. So it will start to calculate its options. Which means that you have won’t have to be chased around.</span></div>

<span class="s1">Interviews are another place where this confidence comes handy. An interviewer has 45 minutes to gauge you as a prospective employee. If in that 45 minutes, you can’t enamor the interviewer, then there is no good reason for you to be hired. But if you can make the interviewer feel that you carry that mental strength which can enable you to accomplish most tasks, then you are immediately in the top few percentage who are a possible hire. </span></div>

<span class="s1">In our day to day life, we interact with any people. Some people clearly leave a mark on us even in the first meeting. What is it about them that so impresses us? There can be many things, but one of the most attractive characteristics of a human is the ability to win the other over by his or her demeanor. We hear people say that there are some people who when they walk into a room, just change the chemistry of the whole situation. Its that ability, which was seen in Swami Vivekananda, that made him a persona with whom no one messed with. On the other hand, there are people who are meek and shy and the downside to it is that one listens to them. They may have abilities and skills at par or better than the rest, but they are never heard because they find it hard to showcase their talents.</span></div>
<div class="p1">
<span class="s1">Every person is amazing, and has been given special abilities which outshine others. In a world so wide and full of people, it will be hard to stand out, unless everyone is given equal opportunity, and we know how that goes. Hence we have to do something on our own to rise above the rest and reach the sunlight. This of course implies that you need to hone your talents too, cause confidence will take you past the first filter, but you still need knowledge and wisdom to achieve what you want to. </span></div>

<span class="s1">So go out and carry that confidence as if you own the world. Change your image so that every room you walk into stops short and looks at you. Sit up straight, walk erect, smile and be happy, hold your head up, talk less but talk facts, and never ever fear anyone (unless they carry a weapon and seem like they wouldn’t stop without hurting you physically). You will see how the world changes they way it looks at you.</span></div>

which my favorite song was. As hard a choice it was to make, it set me off on a

past the very temporary and catchy songs, and then maybe hung back a bit or two
around the songs I hear the most, stopped and stared and longingly left behind
the Pink Floyds and the Bhimsen Joshis, the Kishore Kumars and the Asha
Bhosales, till I finally landed at a particular Mohammed Rafi song. I don't
know why or how I landed on this particular one, but well, it has so many
reasons to be my favorite song, that since the time I made the choice, the more
I think of it, the more perfect it seems. <o:p></o:p></span></span></div>

lyrics leave the listener spell bound. The song is based on Raag Yaman Kalyan

There are so many more, in terms
of editing, screenplay and sets, and I hope to keep editing this list as and when
I think of more (or you could suggest too). One which hits me instantly is
campaigning scene for the live show for the face-off between Saurabh Shukla and
PK, which is so similar to the Radio one in Lagey Raho. Another is innocence in
doing random gross nonsensical things, like the scene in 3 Idiots with Sharman’s
mom scratches his dad’s eczema, and in PK, you have Aamir putting his hand up
another person’s butt crack. Once you watch the first 3 movies, you will be
able to predict every sequence (apart from the bomb blast which was new) in PK.
It is about time these guys learn to conjure up a new formula, or else we will
be expecting another movie in 2018 based on the same lines. Oh and yes, he makes
one movie every three years (PK was supposed to be released in 2012, but got
delayed to 2015)<o:p></o:p></div>

So many differences. So many languages, religions, colors,
regions and people all over the world. But it needs only one ball to bring all
of them together. Its four years since the last time the world woke up to see
away all those differences for a period of 1 month once again. And no matter how
much you try to slander it, how you try to include your stories of scams and
scandals and oppression and exploitation into it, the fact remains, that it’s
the worlds’ biggest sporting event, and it is here upon us, now!<o:p></o:p></div>

The funny thing is, that only 32 countries from a possible
200 odd represent themselves in the championship. But I am sure that all over
the world, people may they be Indians or Egyptians or Mongolians or Chinese
know and associate themselves with a team they want to support. And for that
matter, it doesn’t even matter if the country they support has some emotional
bond that they associate themselves with, it just needs one or two of their
most favorite players and bam, there go the 1000s of bucks in buying jerseys and
flags and cleats of the team they want to support. <o:p></o:p></div>

The competition or the competition winner doesn’t bring any
glory or monetary gain for the supporter. On the contrary, all it does is it
wastes his/ her time which he/ she would in all probability have had spent with
his loved ones. It makes him spend loads of money on random shit which he/ she
may not even want. But it’s the whole passion which drives the game, and that
is something far more important than all other petty things. And then, for a
cup which comes in for 30 days after a time gap of 1300 odd days, I think it is
totally worth it.<o:p></o:p></div>

I don’t mean to defame any other sporting event, specially
the World Series and the Super Bowl and the NBA whatever, but this is how a
world cup should be. It should be a cup wherein most of the world represents
itself, and the others draw associations with the sport in some good way. It
should make up a sample of the people from all around the world. And it needs to
be broadcasted all around the world too, and that too by demand, not by force.
To put numbers into perspective, the FIFA 2010 world cup was watched by atleast
3.2 billion people in the world (for atleast one minute), making up a whopping
46% of the population of the world. Compared to this, the super-bowl was
watched by 110 million people all over the world. If you just want to compare
apples with apples, the world cup final was watched by around 1 billion people.
And yes, in a way I do mean to defame the other games! <o:p></o:p></div>

One good thing about the World Cup is that it comes once in
4 years. It’s a good thing because you get to build up the excitement about it.
Players thrive to represent their nation at the cup finals. And if at all he is
injured, he has to wait another 4 years, which probably shatters most of his
dreams of ever getting to do what he likes to do most.<o:p></o:p></div>

And this time, with the competition in Brazil, I think it doesn't
need anything more to be said. The football capital of the world, Brazil
represents a people so madly in love with football, that for them, and for so
many others outside Brazil all over the world, it is the Mecca of football.
Thousands will get on planes and fly to Brazil in a hope to catch the madness
of the games, and the others will sulk away at home, whilst trying to catch a
glimpse of the people they know in the stands. <o:p></o:p></div>

The world cup does so much more than just the 90 minutes.
The amount of money, blood, sweat being put into it is humongous. Nike always
brings out the best in the advertisements, with the best players in the world
representing a part of a dreamy day tournament, all together playing in one
team. Sports bars and sports joints suddenly shoot up their businesses, while companies
show the lowest productivity ever, thanks to people watching the games during
the work hours, while others write blogs and bits about the same. For a person
like me, I just can’t think of anything else at the moment, and I burst with
excitement whenever there is some news about any team in the tournament.<o:p></o:p></div>

I love Football, I love the world cup, I love the excitement
it brings along with it, and I love and live to be associated with football any
and every moment of my life. Since the start of this year, when the build up
and the count down to the games started, I have on my part done so many things
just for football. We at our work place have ordered a television specially to
show the games on a big screen TV. We have got together to play fantasy games
to bet on winners as part of the fun during the games. We play foosball, we
play futsal, we play football. I learn, I coach and I join random groups of
people, sometimes driving upto 40 miles alternate days just to play the damn
game! <o:p></o:p></div>

For a person like me, who dreams of football all 365 days,
this is a dream come true. It’s the first world cup I am going to experience
when all the resources, time, money and freedom are within my own clutches, and
I am going to make the most of it. I have been playing for a long time now, and
to me, this is the religion I want to follow. I have often heard of people
saying that for them, football is a religion. And yea, with religion, you
always have a good side and a dirty side. But when a religion is so wide
spread, so lenient, and so very fun loving, and when all you need to follow
that religion is a ball, it takes no Einstein to say why it is followed by about
50% of the world population. Nothing in my life has ever broken barriers of
every kind other than a black and white patched football, and if ever you feel
the need to communicate with someone else, take a ball along, and notice the change
in demeanor instantly. You can talk, hug and drink and chit chat with the
randomest person ever, thanks to football. And for this and so much more, I
salute this game.<o:p></o:p></div>

No more wives, no more work, no more girlfriends for a
