It’s a silent world out there
In spite of all the noise.
You hear people talk all the time
But you don’t hear their voice.
They are scared it seems
To say what they want to say.
And instead they keep it all locked up
Choosing to just walk away.
As we continue to interact more
With people from all walks.
We realize that most of it isn’t heartfelt
That most are just empty talks.
And we keep getting disheartened
At every turn of life.
So few a conversations we have
Which manage to make us feel alive.
We hold back to say thank you
When we know that we should
Would you have liked to be appreciated if you were in their place
I know that I would.
We don’t say sorry
Or we just throw it out without any weight.
Come on, is it really that hard,
To enunciate?
If you want to hug
Hug it out, wrap them in a cuddle.
I bet you would both cry
And be the most satisfied in your tear puddle.
I wish more people would say
What they really want to say.
After all, doesn’t hearing or saying I love you,
Just make your fucking day?
